  It's time the true story of Santa Claus was told to the world, and then it's true significance can be understood so all can receive the gifts. Once the truth is comprehended then we can truly celebrate because this will become an inward process not just an outward observance.  My youngest child is 6 years old. Last year at this time he said to me, "I don't think Santa is real. I think you and dad bring the presents". I said to him, "You are a really smart boy!" and kissed his head. He was satisfied, and I left it at that. This year he is in first grade, and many kids his age still believe in Santa. He said there are only two boys in his class that don't believe in the big, red guy, himself and one of his friends. Naronia, the Chrism Within, or Another Nativity Story

As we get ready to celebrate Christmas in my home, my thoughts have been centered around how much my beliefs have changed since leaving Mormonism. I am no longer a Christian, but I am devoted to the teachings of Jesus; not just his words in the bible, but also from the Gnostic Gospels as well. I believe great truths are hidden from the masses who are following the common Christian religion. Especially, the teaching of the Christ, or Chrism, within each of us. Many of us celebrated the Winter Solstice yesterday. Right now, the sun is resting for three days, rising on the same latitudinal degree until December 25th when it will move one degree northward signalling its beginning journey around the wheel of the year once again. Light will be returning, taking precious time back from the darkness of night in the Northern Hemisphere. In the ancient times, anything that stopped moving for three days was considered dead.
